• High refractive index glass is precisely polished into a spherical shape.
• By making it a globule, it can be used as a lens with a very short focal length and a large NA.
• It is used as a collimating lens for optical fibers or for optical coupling between semiconductor lasers and optical fibers.
• There are uncoated lenses and coated lenses with anti-reflection coating.
• We have 3 types of coats: visible light, near infrared, and light communication infrared.
• Compared to focusing with an objective lens, using a spherical lens dramatically saves space.
• Uncoated products can be used from any direction regardless of the orientation of the lens.
• * Small sphere lens with anti-reflection coating has an optical axis check mark so that you can see the direction of the coating.
• * After installing the lens, wipe off the optical axis check mark with alcohol before use.
• * A spherical lens has a short focal length and can narrow down the beam at a very large focusing angle. However, due to high spherical aberration, the concentrated spot diameter is not very small.
• * Small ball lenses are easy to roll and can be lost.
