• RS Pro IEC Type K Magnet Housing Thermocouple with Miniature Plug
• RS Pro IEC Standard Type K thermocouple temperature sensor is designed for fast and reliable surface temperature measurement. This thermocouple sensor has a rugged design and is equipped with a 2 m long highly durable steel braided PFA Teflon insulating lead. One end of the lead is terminated by a miniature plug or other component and secured to the ferrous metal surface by a 1-inch-diameter strong magnet housing. The thermocouple contacts are grounded to reduce the response time.
• How Thermocouples Work • Thermocouples are sensors used for temperature measurement in a wide variety of processes. Two wire legs made of different metals are brought into contact at two points to form two contacts. Thermal contacts (temperature measurement contacts) are connected to the body to be measured. Cold contacts (reference contacts) are connected to bodies of known temperature. When a temperature measuring contact is placed on a heat source, a voltage difference or potential difference occurs between the contact and the reference contact. This voltage is converted to a temperature measurement using the thermocouple reference table. This process is also known as the Seebeck effect.
• What is a Surface Thermocouple? This thermocouple is designed for surface temperature measurement. Most thermocouples have a detection tip, where the end of the thermocouple wire is covered or covered by a protective tube. Therefore, this product cannot measure the surface temperature. For surface temperature sensing thermocouples, the exposed weld wire contacts are stored in a magnet or adhesive patch and are firmly fixed to the surface. This anchoring method allows the thermocouple to be used on various types of surfaces, such as uneven or curved surfaces. This product also makes it easy to change the usage and measurement position.
