• Single crystals of germanium used in semiconductors have an infrared wavelength of 2~20 μm and low absorption, so they can be used as optical elements for infrared light.
• It is a window plate made of this germanium crystal.
• Wavelengths below 1.5 μm are not transmitted, so it can also be used as an infrared light transmission filter.
• It can also be used as a germanium substrate for various experiments.
• We also have a ZnSe window plate for infrared that transmits a portion of visible light.
• * The germanium window plate has a metallic luster, and visible light is not reflected or absorbed and transmitted.
• * The germanium window plate has a loss due to surface reflection (35% per surface [measured value]), so the transmittance is about 42%.
