• An uncoated prism that can be used in a variety of applications, including critical angle total reflection and wavelength dispersion.
• Since various coatings can be applied to this prism, it is possible to fabricate prism optical elements of the wavelength used.
• There is a BK7 type that can be used in the visible to infrared range and a synthetic quartz type that can also be used in the ultraviolet range.
• The angular accuracy and surface accuracy of prisms are very high, and it is possible to use them directly bonded to machined parts.
• Prisms can stand on their own without a special holder and can be used as a substitute for small mirrors as there are various installation options.
